SWAP - Canton City Health Department Syringe Exchange Program



Stark Wide Approach to Prevention will have the first distribution from 2pm-4pm at the Canton City Health Dept. (420 Market Ave N, Canton, Ohio 44702). Available services include 1) Sterile needles and injecting supplies and safe, consistent disposal of used needles 2) Access to a nurse navigator to answer questions regarding treatment and treatment options, as well as referrals to treatments 3) Narcan kits 4) Mental health referrals 5) Education on wound care 6) Peer support 7) Safe sex supplies 8) HIV testing* 9) Hepatitis C testing* (pending receipt of kits) and 10) Information on Canton City STI clinics/availability. THE PROGRAM IS ANONYMOUS

Breaking Barriers - Hope Is Alive Motorcycle Run



Presented by the Greater Akron Motorcycle Association. Registration & 1st bikes out at 10am at the GAMC Club House 1540 Smith Rd Akron 44313. Last bike out 1pm. Cost is $15 per rider and $10 per passenger.

CommQuest Addiction & Recovery Symposium



CommQuest Services, Inc. in partnership with Mercy Medical Center and the Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Board will be hosting an Addiction & Recovery Symposium featuring keynote speaker and 2013 Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter. The Stark Reality Drug Awareness Conference



Community education event in the Timken Auditorium at the McKinley High School Downtown Campus located at 521 W. Tuscarawas St Canton 44702. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Speakers from 6:00 - 7:30 followed by question and answer period with the panel speakers.
